The red dots indicate sites of interest for BEC’s tidal bridge technology.   There are many disparate estimates as to the actual quantification of the global tidal stream resource.  Estimates range from 50,000 MW to hundreds of thousands of MW and more. Several regional tidal resource assessments have been conducted, though a global study has not been put forth to date. BEC had identified in excess of 100,000 MW of tial bridge projects around the world. By using a modular approach to its technology and development BEC will be able to access a global market with a single product line and installation methodology.
